Head of Technical Department – Gibraltar

A telecommunications company has a fantastic opportunity for you to join them as Head of Technical Department in Gibraltar. The successful candidate will have experience of 10 years working in telecommunications within network, services, and customer care management. The person should be capable to manage teams and have knowledge and experience in; Radio Frequency concepts. Radio Technology concepts (Wimax, Microwave, Wifi). SDH and/or NGN concepts. DDoS protection concepts. Metro Ethernet Network Concepts. Good Knowledge in access network (ADSL2+, VDSL2, GPON, EFM). Operation and Maintenance on Network and customers. Power and Air-conditioning concepts. Operation Systems concepts (Solaris, Linux, Windows). Services and applications (radius, web, ticketing system, new deployments, monitoring, other). Desirable knowledge and experience in Voice Implementation. Migrating the ADSL2+ to GPON or VDSL2 as soon the market or the company demands. Billing Implementation (optional).
